Minimum Age Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years old to browse or use this website.
- You must be at least 18 to purchase a rifle or shotgun (long gun) and certain ammunition.
- You must be at least 21 to purchase a handgun or handgun ammunition from a licensed dealer.
- You must not be prohibited from receiving or possessing firearms under 18 U.S.C. § 922(g) or applicable state law.
How We Verify Age
When you first visit, you must confirm you meet the minimum age to enter. This confirmation is stored locally in your browser so you are not prompted on every page. Online confirmation is not a substitute for in-person verification.
Identity and age are always verified in person. Before any firearm is released, the receiving FFL inspects a valid government-issued photo ID and completes ATF Form 4473 and a NICS background check. If your ID shows you do not meet the required age, the transfer will be denied and the sale canceled.
Truthful Information
Providing false information about your age or eligibility — or attempting to acquire a firearm for someone who cannot legally purchase one (a “straw purchase”) — is a federal crime. Whiskey Tango Firearms LLC cooperates with the ATF and law enforcement and will refuse any transaction we believe to be unlawful.
